Why empty buildings need specialist security
The highest-risk window for an empty commercial building is the first few days after it becomes vacant, before word spreads that nobody is there. Secure it properly in that window and you prevent most of what would otherwise follow: break-ins, metal theft, fly-tipping, arson and unauthorised occupation.

Most commercial property policies change once a building is empty, typically after around 30 days. Many require documented inspections, often weekly, as a condition of cover.
